Thomas Cook, a street corner preacher and a Methodist lay circuit preacher by the age of eighteen, was an advocate of the Weslyan teachings of entire sanctification. In 1903 he became the first principle of Cliff College in Calver, England, the newly instituted evangelical school for training lay ministers. He held that position until his death in 1913.
